PTEC 2050 Instrumentation I5 Credit Hour(s) This course will explore topics including Process Technology (PTEC) variables and the various instruments used to sense, measure, transmit and control these variables. It will introduce control loops and the elements that are found in different types of loops, such as controllers, regulators, and final control elements. It will conclude with a study of instrumentation drawings and diagrams, and a unit on troubleshooting insrumentation.
Prerequisite(s): PTEC 2000 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
