HMGT 2230 Professional Practice in the Hospitality Industry

Students will examine the impact of regulatory bodies on hospitality operations. Topics will include health and safety regulations, compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), regulations relating to the sale of alcohol in hospitality operations, and regulations associated with the hiring process.

This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits
