ENST 1403 CNC Operator - Milling4 Credit Hour(s) This course is designed to introduce students to the concepts of CNC milling. This courss provides training for CNC operators, not CNC machnists or CNC programmers. Students will learn how to load and unload a CNC mill. Special emphasis will be given to ensuring the proper alignment of the workplace. Students will perform all of th appropriate preproduction procedures, such as materials selection, planning, benchwork, and layout. Postproduction procedures, such as workpiece measurement and mill cleanup, will also be performed by the students.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
