GART 2512 Publishing on the Internet3 Credit Hour(s) This class will cover production and placement of graphic images into electronic documents for display over the Internet. Students will be introduced to the World Wide Web (WWW) and basics of human interface design including creation and placement of icons, preparation of graphic files for use on the WWW including GIF, animated GIF, JPEG, and animated web graphic formats, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) tags for establishing links, and creating client-side image maps, tables and frames. Students will create and load a personal website for display over the Internet. One Macintosh computer per student is assigned for the course.
Prerequisite(s): GART 1000 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
