HLTH 1100 Children’s Health2 Credit Hour(s) This course is a study of children’s health as it relates to optimum growth and development individually and in group settings. Emphasis is on safe environments in the home, family, day care centers, and schools. It includes survey of prevention and control of childhood diseases, nutrition, parent and community education, state health regulations, and available health social services.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits
