INMT 1114 Blueprint Reading and Drafting4 Credit Hour(s) This course covers terminology and the basic techniques and fundamentals of drafting to prepare the student to read blueprints and for more advanced classes in engineering drawing. Lettering techniques, use of drawing instruments and scales, applied geometric construction, orthographic projection, isometric drawing, and drawing layout procedures are covered. Also included is an introduction to computer-aided drafting.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
