INMT 2133 Motion and Power and Lab3 Credit Hour(s) This course examines the use of basic machines in industrial settings. Power transmission methods are stressed. Laboratory exercises cover the mechanical drive devices, gears, pulleys and belts, roller chain assemblies, timing belts, clutches, conveyor belts and shaft connections and alignment. Safety practices are emphasized along with the industrial applications.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 1740 or approval of program coordinator This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
