This is an additional track option to the nursing program. In this track, licensed paramedics have a mobility option that gives them credit for prior learning in the medical field. Students admitted into this track will complete a transitions course and join the generic track students in term three of the four-term program. Completion of this track will culminate in the award of an AAS-Nursing degree.

Prerequisite Courses: 12 Credits

Summer Semester: 14 Credits

Fall Semester: 19 Credits

Spring Semester: 15 Credits

Total Program Credits: 67

Note: Students are required to complete one transition course for this track option NRSG 1701 Transition to Professional Professional Practice - Paramedic. Upon successfully completing the transition course, students are awarded 7 credit hours of prior learning to be applied to program hours for completion.

This program of study is designed as a terminal degree for a specific career field.

³ A Nursing Comprehensive Exit examination is required for course completion of NRSG 2730 Medical Surgical II. An approved NCLEX-RN review course is required prior to application for licensure.
