This program prepares students for career opportunities in criminal justice agencies. Sufficient theoretical preparation and practical experience enable graduates to function effectively in a variety of paraprofessional settings. This program is not designed for transfer. Students intending to transfer credits to other institutions should contact both their advisor and the transfer institution to determine applicable policies or restrictions.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Criminal Justice System functions, processes, and interrelationships.
- Articulate opinions on critical issues and problems facing the Criminal Justice system.
- Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the philosophy, history, and application of law related to the criminal justice system.
- Describe and analyze the theories of causation and impact of crime.
