PTEC 1080 Process Technology III4 Credit Hour(s) This course is an introduction to operations within the PTEC industry. Students will use existing knowledge of equipment, systems, and instrumentation to understand the operation of an entire unit. Students will study the concepts related to commissioning, normal startup, normal operations, normal shutdown, turnarounds, and abnormal situations, as well as the Process Technician’s role in performing the tasks associated with these concepts.
Prerequisite(s): PTEC 1020 and PTEC 1070 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
