CPET 1114 Computer Systems Installation and Maintenance3 Credit Hour(s) This course provides hands-on experience in the building, installation, testing, and maintenance of microcomputer systems. Emphasis is given to developing the student’s ability to install new systems and maintain existing systems. This course also provides an introduction to various microcomputer application programs. Emphasis is given to developing the student’s ability to use Microsoft Windows-based applications software including word processing, spreadsheet processing. This course also includes an introduction to the C++ programming language.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
