ELET 2202 Microprocessor-Based Control Systems4 Credit Hour(s) Microprocessor Based Instrumentation and Control includes the principles of interfacing a microcontroller to industrial sensors and electromechanical devices. Emphasis is placed on applications in automation and robotics. Students study the instruction set of a microcontroller, programming peripherals, and communication protocols. Applications discussed include stepper motor and servo motor speed, direction, and position control. Laboratory exercises include assembly language programming on microcontrollers.
Prerequisite(s): CPET 1124 or permission of program coordinator This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
