ITEC 1010 Web Page Development3 Credit Hour(s) The focus of this course is on the design and creation of a website with the pages written in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)/Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) using a text-only editor. Topics include HTML/XHTML structural tags, tables, forms, image mapping, formatting with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for presentation. All Web pages will validate to current HTML/XHTML and CSS standards. Each student will publish and maintain a website on a college-managed Web server. One computer per student is assigned for the course.
Prerequisite(s): DSPM 0800 and DSPR 0800 or permission of instructor This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
