CCET 2203 Strength of Materials and Lab3 Credit Hour(s) In this course, the student studies the following topics: stress and strain, direct and shearing stresses, torsion, bending, bolted and riveted connections, basic design of timber and steel beams and timber and steel columns, beam deflections, and statically indeterminate beams.
Prerequisite(s): MEET 1154 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
