ELET 1110 Electric Circuits I and Lab3 Credit Hour(s) Electric Circuits I introduces the student to the fundamental principles of DC circuits. Emphasis is placed on the solution of circuit problems using series and parallel circuit definitions, Ohm’s law, Kirchhoff’s laws, and equivalent circuits. Inductance and capacitance are introduced as time constants in transient circuits. The course concludes with network analysis techniques including loop equations, Thevenin’s theorem, and superposition.
Prerequisite(s): ENTC 1114 and ENTC 1124 , or permission of program coordinator This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
