ITEC 1001 Introduction to Personal Computing3 Credit Hour(s) Students will learn essential computer concepts, terminology and software skills needed to succeed in today’s information society along with legal and ethical issues concerning the use of computers and the Internet. An integral part of the course provides hands-on experience with the operating system, file management, and current application software including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and email. Keyboarding skills recommended.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
