AERO 1112 The Air Force Today1 Credit Hour(s) This survey course is a continuation of AERO 1111 designed to introduce students to the United States Air Force and Air Force ROTC. Topics include Air Force mission and organization, customs, and courtesies, officer opportunities, problem solving, and communication skills. This course includes a laboratory. Leadership Laboratory is taken throughout the student’s period of enrollment in AFROTC. The first two years of the leadership laboratory include a study of Air Force customs and courtesies, drills, and ceremonies, issuing military commands, instructing, directing and evaluating the preceding skills, studying the environment of an Air Force officer and learning about areas of opportunity available to commissioned officers. The last two years of leadership lab consist of activities classified as advanced leadership experiences. They involve the planning and controlling of military activities classified as advanced leadership.
