CITC 2326 Network Security 3 Credit Hour(s) This course is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of computer and network security. It will introduce students to a wide variety of concepts related to network security. This course will cover the objectives for the current CompTIASecurity+ Certification.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Identify risk and participate in risk mitigation activities.
- Provide infrastructure, application, information, and operational security.
- Apply security controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability, and identify appropriate technologies and products.
- Troubleshoot security events and incidents. .
- Define applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Prerequisite(s): CITC 1302 or CITC 1323 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
