WELD 2371 Gas Metal Arc Welding

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) uses a solid electrode wire that is continuously fed from a spool,.In this class an emphasis is placed on the making of fillet and groove welds in all positons with the GMAW process.

Student Learning Outcomes

Successfully pass the AWS D1.1 Plate certification for GMAW limited thickness.
Set-up and operate GMAW welding equipment.
Set-up and operate FCAW welding equipment.

Prerequisite(s): WELD 1381
