MEET 2173 Air Conditioning and Lab 3 Credit Hour(s) This is a course wherein air conditioning is used to introduce the student to the principles of thermodynamics and heat transfer. Topics covered include basic thermodynamic principles, heat and the change of state, heat transfer, psychometric chart techniques, human comfort factors, load and load calculations, equipment selection, mechanical refrigeration, fluid flow, evaporative systems, air distribution, and control systems. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1740 , PHYS 2010 or approval of program coordinator This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
