GART 1070 Vector Illustration I 3 Credit Hour(s) This course introduces computer illustration using vector-based editing software. Emphasis will be placed on the creation of object-oriented graphics, line art, and technical illustration by mastering the pen tool, using tracing templates, creating and editing display type and type outlines, working with 4-color process and custom spot color, and working with layers and masks. One Macintosh computer per student is assigned for the course. Prerequisite(s): GART 1000 and ART 1045 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
