LEGL 1335 Constitutional Law

This course covers the fundamental principles in constitutional law, such as judicial review, the Bill of Rights, and the powers of the Supreme Court, Congress, and the President.
Student Learning Outcomes:
The student who has successfully completed Constitutional Law should know or be able to:

1.   exhibit a command of the basic legal terminology used in Constitutional law;
2.   exhibit knowledge of the powers enumerated to the three branches of the federal government and the relationships between and among the three branches of the federal government;
3.   demonstrate understanding of the powers of the national government in the federal system;
4   demonstrate understanding of the relationship between the national government and the individual state governments; and,
5.   demonstrate understanding of the concept of substantive due process.

Prerequisite(s): LEGL 1300  with a “C” or better
