An experience external to the college for a student in a specialized field, involving a written agreement between the educational institution and a business, industry or research facility. Mentored by a workplace employee, the student achieves objectives that are developed and documented by the college that are directly related to specific occupational outcomes. This may be a paid or unpaid experience.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Submit a thorough and competitive employment application and resume for work the highly specialized filed of biotechnology.
Integrate into an enterprise and develop professional relationships within that organization
Communicate experimental findings using scientific language and appropriate syntax for review by supervisors or peers.
Execute a scientific protocol and troubleshoot real or potential problems encountered in the execution of the protocol.
