NRSG 1330 Pediatric Nursing 3 Credit Hours [2 Lecture Hours; 1 Clinical Hour (6 contact hours per week per 7 week term)]) Credit Hour(s) This course applies the core concepts that provide the basis for knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are essential for providing safe nursing care for children with alterations in health, including pharmacological management. Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to meet the eight (8) core competencies related to safe nursing care for children as evidenced by:

Professional Behavior: Demonstrate ethical, legal, and regulatory frameworks of nursing and standards of professional nursing practice.

Assessment: Demonstrate ability to collect subjective and objective data to identify actual or potential health alterations.

Prerequisite(s): NRSG 1120 and NRSG 1710 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
