A course covering the writing of computerized codes used to control computerized machining equipment.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the nature, applications, advantages, and disadvantages of numerical control machine tools.
  • Manually write, edit, debug, and use N/C programs to produce a part.                   
  • Utilize canned cycles, loops, and subroutines. 


Prerequisite(s): ENST 1340  or approval of the program coordinator.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university they intend to transfer to for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about the transferability of credits.
