This is an AAS Health Sciences degree for students who are enrolled in, or already have, a Technical Certificate in an Allied Health Area: Emergency Medical Technician Technical Certificate , Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced Technical Certificate ,Laboratory Phlebotomy Technician Technical Certificate ,Pharmacy Technology Technical Certificate and want to continue their education to receive an Associate of Applied Sciences degree. Students will earn hours for the Technical Certificate, complete 15-16 hours from specified General Education classes and complete 9 hours of coursework (Management and Leadership for Allied Health Sciences, Contemporary Issues, Medical Law and Ethics). Additional General Education classes will be taken as electives to total the required 60 hours needed for graduation. The combination of the Associate Degree, coupled with the Management and Leadership for Allied Health Sciences class, allows a student increased chances to achieve additional success in their chosen Allied Health field.

Total Program Credits: 60
Students may be awarded up to 31-32 hours of credit based on their certifications in Emergency Medical Technician - Basic, Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced, Laboratory Phlebotomy Technician or Pharmacy Technician.
