The certificate for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management is designed for students with varied backgrounds. The certificate provides education and training in the practical knowledge and skills needed to start, operate, and manage a small business. This curriculum includes a total approach to entrepreneurship and small business management.


Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:

  • Summarize the Federal Reserve’s role in regulation and agent of monetary policy.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the entrepreneurial process.

  • Students will demonstrate an understanding of logistics’ place in the supply chain.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the American free enterprise system.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the of decision-making process in an organizational setting (TBR).
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of managing growth in a small business.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of human capital and its importance.
