MEET 1154 Statics and Dynamics and Lab3 Credit Hour(s) This course covers the two areas of engineering mechanics: statics and dynamics. The statics section covers problems solving techniques dealing with resultants, free-bodies, trusses, center of gravity, equilibrium, moment of inertia, and friction. The dynamics section covers problem-solving techniques dealing with dynamic force systems, kinematics, kinetics, work and energy, impulse, momentum, power, and friction.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 1740 , PHYS 2010 or approval of program coordinator This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
