PHRX 2030 Sterile Products4 Credit Hour(s) The course provides an understanding of the fundamentals of sterile product preparation. Topics may include medications and parenteral administration; facilities; equipment; supplies utilized in admixture preparation, techniques utilized in parental product compounding; terminology and calculations used in preparation of parenteral products; parenteral medication incompatibilities; and quality assurance in the preparation of parenteral products.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
