CORT 1210 CR Grammar and Punctuation3 Credit Hour(s) This course contains specialized English topics as they apply to the reporting profession. Grammar for court reporters emphasizes parts of speech and parts of structure of sentences. This course lays an essential foundation for study of the sophisticated punctuation rules that follow, which enable the reporter to produce verbatim transcripts with emphasis on proofreading techniques.
Corequisite(s): CORT 1020 , ENGL 1010 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
