ETEC 1011 DC/AC Electronics4 Credit Hour(s) This course covers the theory of direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) electricity. Fundamenta; electrical quantities such as current, voltage, and power are introduced for series, parallel and series-parallel circuits. Electronic component identification, schematic diagrams and the proper use of test equipment are part of the course. In the laboratory, students assemble and test various electronic circuits in laboratory procedures that reinforce the classroom lectures.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
