CITC 2352 Digital Forensics3 Credit Hour(s) This course is designed to give students a basic understanding of computer forensics and investigations. This course will introduce students to computing investigations by preparing them to acquire, examine and summarize digital evidence.
Learning Outcomes:
- understand computer investigations, data acquisition and the process of crime and incident scenes
- use current computer forensics tools and preform computer forensics analysis and validation
- perform network forensics, e-mail investigations and cell phone and mobile device forensics
- complete report for investigations
Prerequisite(s): CITC 1351 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
