CENT 1320 Programming for Technicians3 Credit Hour(s) This introductory course, utilizing a high-level programming language, begins with an explanation of a general program development procedure and also highlights software applications interfacing with external hardware devices. Digital logic between software and hardware is emphasized. Effective program development practices, including flowcharting and debugging techniques are stressed. Some specific programming language elements covered include looping statements, functions, arrays, input/output operations, classes, and Boolean logic.
Prerequisite(s): CENT 1310 or permission of program coordinator This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
