EDU 201 Foundations of Education3 Credit Hour(s) In this course attention is given to the historical, philosophical and sociological foundations underlying the development of American educational institutions. The role of schools, the aims of education, and the role of state, local and federal agencies will be emphasized. Some field experience will be required.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
