GART 2500 UI-UX Design I 3 Credit Hour(s) Introduction to interactive multimedia, theory and practice. Emphasis will be placed on conceptualizing and planning interactive multimedia projects, navigation, storyboard preparation and user interface design. Students will learn to produce and prepare graphics and animation, edit sound and script in an interactive program using Macromedia Director in combination with other programs. One Macintosh computer per student is assigned for the course. Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Participate in discourse involving UI/UX design
- Prototype interactive controls to graphic interfaces
- Discuss intent behind design and marketing
- Use industry standard design programs
Prerequisite(s): GART 1070 and GART 1040 This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
