HMGT 1040 Front Office Procedures 3 Credit Hour(s) This course examines both the operation of a rooms department of a typical full-service or selective-service facility and the theoretical applications of all revenue center operations including yield management and other vital hotel functions, with emphasis on the control function of management. Student Learning Outcomes:
- Identify the steps in the Front Office Guest Cycle
- List the steps of the registration process and discuss creative reservation options
- Identify the functions and procedures related to the check-out and account settlement process Describe the steps in the Front Office audit process
- Explain the concept of Revenue Management
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
