LEGL 1320 Legal Research 3 Credit Hour(s) This course is required for all students pursuing a degree in Paralegal Studies. Students study various methods of conducting legal research and learn proper citation formats. Student Learning Outcomes: The student who has completed Legal Research should know or be able to:
1. identify basic legal terminology used in Legal Research;
2. recognize resources available in a standard law library;
3. explain how to use the resources available in a standard law library;
4. distinguish the use of citators for validation and updating of legal authorities; and,
5. illustrate citation of legal authorities.
