LEGL 2320 Employment Law 3 Credit Hour(s) This course provides an overview of substantive areas of employment law, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and privacy issues in the workplace. Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge of the employment at will doctrine;
- demonstrate knowledge of the independent contractor doctrine;
- demonstrate knowledge of federal laws related to employment protections;
- demonstrate knowledge of reasonable accommodations as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act; and
- demonstrate knowledge of the history of the labor movement.
