LEGL 2325 Alternative Dispute Resolution 3 Credit Hour(s) This course provides an overview of dispute resolution methods used in the American legal system. Students explore various standards applicable to alternative dispute resolution and learn basic skills needed to work with parties in conflict. Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- demonstrate understanding of the importance of neutrality in resolving disputes;
- demonstrate knowledge of mediation;
- demonstrate knowledge of arbitration;
- demonstrate knowledge of laws related to alternative dispute resolution; and
- demonstrate knowledge of unilateral action in dispute resolution.
Prerequisite(s): LEGL 1300 with a “C” or better
