LEGL 1306 Law Practice Management 3 Credit Hour(s) This course is required for all students pursuing a degree in Paralegal Studies. Topics covered include legal management techniques and practices, law office structures, client communications, and billing and record-keeping processes. Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- distinguish the members of a legal team;
- identify the various types of legal fee agreements;
- explain the differences between billable and non-billable time;
- explain the importance of trust accounts; and
- summarize the importance of law office staff manuals.
