HPER 2550 Prevention and Care of Athletic Injury 3 Credit Hour(s) This course provides students with basic knowledge and skills associated with exercise training methods, lifting techniques, spotting techniques, and health-related fitness testing procedures. The selection of developmentally appropriate exercises emphasized. The course covers a spectrum of exercise modalities while also delving into basic programming principles and instructional strategies for effective resistance/aerobic training. Student Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate appropriate technique when performing resistance training exercises.
- Select developmentally appropriate exercises.
- Discuss principles associated with resistance/aerobic training.
- Administer tests associated with health-related fitness,
- Evaluate health-related fitness tests.
