INTR 1040 Introduction to Translation and Interpretation in Educational Settings 3 Credit Hour(s) This introductory course is designed to equip aspiring translators and interpreters with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to effectively work within educational settings. As linguistic mediators, professionals in this field play a crucial role in facilitating communication between students, parents, teachers, and administrators who speak different languages. Through a combination of theoretical study, practical exercises, and real-world simulations, participants will gain insight into the unique challenges and responsibilities associated with translation and interpretation in educational contexts.
