Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management Concentration, A.A.S.

The hospitality industry employs over 35,000 people in Memphis and Shelby county and new restaurants are opening all the time. The A.A.S. degree in Food and Beverage Management is designed to teach students the important management skills that are required for supervisory and management careers in food service operations and for those who wish to open their own restaurants. A combination of classroom, culinary lab work, and work experience opportunities provide a well rounded education in this challenging, but exciting field.

This program of study is designed as a terminal degree for a specific career field.

This program requires students to register and complete Cooperative Education administered by Career Services. Student elgibility requirements can be found on the Cooperative Education webpage. Students must register for HMGT 1931   and complete a minimum of 225 hours of supervised work experience in a position related to their field of study.
