The CIT Programming Technical Certificate Program provides the skill set needed to begin a career in computer programming. The certificate prepares students to write programs, implement system designs, find, and correct problems in system designs, and implementation. The program is 21 credits long. Designed for students seeking to retrain into an occupational field with a high level of projected growth over the current decade and into the next, the coursework in this program provides training in three areas. These areas include:
- Programming
- Database Management
- Web Development
Upon completion of this program, certificate holders will be qualified to work in the industry exploring concepts, principles, applications, languages, web programming and more. In addition, the courses completed in this program may be applied towards an A.A.S. degree in Computer Information Technology concentration in Programming.
