The program is designed to provide the technical preparation required of technicians employed by dealerships and other automotive service establishments who service EV/HEV ( Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Electric Vehicle) vehicles. These courses are designed to prepare the student for successful completion of ASE Certification Tests: A6 - Electrical/Electronic Systems and A8 - Engine Performance, which are required to take the L3 - Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical/electronic circuits and systems.
- utilize advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for electronic system troubleshooting.
- demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing, servicing, and maintaining vehicle battery systems.
- utilize diagnostic methodologies and cutting-edge tools to identify and repair engine performance issues.
