Electrical Vehicle Maintenance Technical Certificate

The program is designed to provide the technical preparation required of technicians employed by dealerships and other automotive service establishments who service EV/HEV ( Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Electric Vehicle) vehicles. These courses are designed to prepare the student for successful completion of ASE Certification Tests: A6 - Electrical/Electronic Systems and A8 - Engine Performance, which are required to take the L3 - Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist.


Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

1. demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical/electronic circuits and systems.
2. utilize advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for electronic system troubleshooting.
3. demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing, servicing, and maintaining vehicle battery systems.
4. utilize diagnostic methodologies and cutting-edge tools to identify and repair engine performance issues.
