LEGL 1330 Legal Writing 3 Credit Hour(s) This course is required for all students pursuing a degree in Paralegal Studies. Course emphasis is on learning the skills needed to prepare a variety of legal documents used in the legal workplace. Student Learning Outcomes: The student who has successfully completed Legal Writing should know or be able to:
1. demonstrate proficiency in reading and briefing cases;
2. present legal research findings in memoranda;
3. find and apply law;
4. demonstrate proficiency in preparing legal correspondence; and,
5. demonstrate proficiency in preparing transactional documents.
Prerequisite(s): LEGL 1300 and LEGL 1320 with a “C” or better
