INTR 2020 Spanish - English Interpretation and Translation

Application of interpretation and translation techniques in Spanish to English and English to Spanish consecutive interpreting, simultaneous interpreting, sight, and written translation; application of fundamental skills and standards in a variety of simulated settings, especially problematic and cross-cultural circumstances.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

Apply professional standards for interpretation and translation
Practice norms and guidelines of government agencies and professional organizations
Produce accurate interpretation of oral communication
Produce accurate translation of written communication
Demonstrate revising and editing skills

Prerequisite(s): INTR 2010
