CCET 2623 Concrete Technology and Lab3 Credit Hour(s) This course introduces the student to fundamentals of mix design and the inspection concerned with the manufacture and testing of concrete as a construction material. The following topics are covered: basic properties of cement and the relationships between cement, water and aggregates; properties desired in plastic and hardened concrete; proportioning mixes; sampling, and field and lab testing.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
