HSER 1510 Principles of Substance Abuse Education3 Credit Hour(s) This course addresses the social, political, physiological, and behavioral aspects of alcohol and drug abuse. Exploration of the nature of psychoactive substances and the various theories explaining abuse by different populations will be emphasized. Theories and methods of prevention techniques for substance abuse will be presented.
This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits
