AIT 2201 Programmable Logic Controllers I2 Credit Hour(s) This course covers the underlying principles and appications of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) including installation, logic fundamentals and numbering systems; basic programming of inputs, outputs, timers, counters, comparators, basic data manipulation, and safety circuits of industrial PLCs. NOTE: This course utilizes Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Prerequisite(s): AIT 1401 or permission of program coordinator. This course is not designed for transfer to four-year universities. Students should check course recommendations with the college or university to which they intend to transfer for a baccalaureate degree. The receiving institution always makes the final decision about transferability of credits.
